Hi, My name is Jency Elliott and I'm a mother of two young adults (25 and 27). I am a HypnoBirthing® Childbirth Educator (10 years) affiliated with the HypnoBirthing® Institute. I'm also a Postpartum Doula (MaternityWise) ,since 2008, a Lactation Counselor (ALPP), and a Hypnotist (National Guild of Hypnotists). I have worked with numerous families in the Mid-Hudson Valley prenatally and postnatally. I teach HypnoBirthing® classes in Woodstock, NY I am passionate about empowering women, as well as their birth companions so that they can have a wonderful, safer, and calmer birth experience for themselves and their baby. The postpartum period is a very special time for families, as the birth of a baby represents a profound and permanent life change for parents and other family members. Following the birth, I will provide loving care for the mother and her family. I will provide individually tailored support with newborn care, mother care, assistance with breastfeeding or bottlefeeding, nutrition, rest, organization and sibling support. My goal as a postpartum doula is to empower women, their partners and their families... as they adjust to their new roles... through education, support and encouraging self-confidence.
